Brussels Sprouts with Honey Mustard Glaze

Friends, are you a Brussels sprouts family? I have found you either are, or you aren’t. I just love how cozy they are, and if cooked right, they really complement a meal!

Two of my favorite recipes is this Waldorf Brussels Sprout Salad and Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad with a light vinaigrette! And then, of course this Brussels Sprouts with Honey Mustard Glaze recipe!

It’s our tradition each Christmas to host several dinner parties in the month of December, and to preserve Christmas Eve just for our family.

Yes, traditions can come and go, and change is a good thing. This year, my Best Clam Chowder is on my menu for one night, and then of course Crusted Pepper Prime Rib. We also love Cornish Game Hens (a little more affordable).

Baked Brussels Sprouts

Brussels Sprouts with Honey Mustard Glaze are a family favorite. We served these at Thanksgiving this year. And if you’re like us, when cooking a big meal, we intentionally make more food than we want.

When you think of all the work that goes into a big meal, it seems we never have as many leftovers as we want, so this way, we’re pre-making our own leftovers by sometimes doubling the recipe.

Best side dishes

Side dishes are what make a meal, in my opinion. I’m a side-dish girl. Today I’m sharing some cozy side dishes that you can serve with Cornish Game Hens, Prime Rib, turkey or even ham.

I can’t wait to get our new house unpacked and settle in for winter. We have had one snow storm, and now it’s melted. It’s very cold out, but it doesn’t quite feel like winter yet, until the snow stays around.

I’ll be unpacking cozy blankets, hopefully setting up a table for a puzzle to dive into, and getting some dinner dates on the calendar to invite friends over for a much-needed time of fellowship.

Winter is the time for …

This quote is comforting …

“Winter is the time for comfort. For good food and warmth. For the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: It is the time for home.” -Edith Sitwell

Happy Winter, Friends!
