Why serve boards for a meal?

In years past, my entertaining was a little different than it is now. We live a more casual lifestyle now, which I love, and which translates into easy entertaining. I’m also in a different season of my life now.

Dinners in the past were more a grand gesture of love and affection, but there’s one thing that has never changed. The power of delegation! I always planned my menu around guests contributing to the meal, and honestly, that is how you do it when you’re on a budget.

Hosting an entire meal these days is quite expensive!

This is why I love boards: They are casual and fun. Ask your guests to bring the drinks and desert.

Let me just say, the art of invitation is worth it. The effort is always received as the loving gesture it is intended to be.
